Worried about coronavirus? We can help with qualified medical interpretation

A message from Intelligere President, Pam Morreale | COVID-19 Update

We understand the COVID-19 pandemic has caused financial impact with decreased appointment volume. The government has put programs in place to provide income to small businesses and individuals who are self-employed. As an independent contractor you might be eligible for assistance. Preventive tips from the CDC

  • Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  • Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol when soap & water isn’t available
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash – wash hands
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces
  • Stay home when you’re sick

Recognize the symptoms.

People with confirmed COVID-19 have shown mild to severe respiratory illness symptoms including fever, cough and shortness of breath. These symptoms are similar to what you might experience with more common viral infections, such as colds and the flu.

Know when and where to seek care.

If you’re experiencing symptoms but have not traveled to an area of the world with significant outbreaks, or been in close contact with someone confirmed to have COVID-19, then the likelihood that you have the illness is low.

As with other viral respiratory infections, most people with mild symptoms will get better on their own and can be treated from home. Call your doctor, or seek care online if you need help managing your symptoms. This will keep you from spreading illness to others, while getting the care you need from the comfort of home.

If you need care

If you think you may have acquired or been exposed to COVID-19, you can take a screening assessment online at virtuwell or Doctor on Demand. Both are available 24/7 at no cost to you.

If you have additional concerns, contact your primary care clinic.
