Video Remote Interpreting (VRI)

Video Remote Interpreting (VRI)

Intelligere has launched Video Remote Interpreting (VRI). We have created our solution using our local MN interpreters utilizing a state-of-the-art technology supported solution designed to provide quality interpreting services to our clients. We are excited to offer this technology in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.  We have partnered with the local healthcare systems, schools, governments and local/national businesses  to utilize our local platform (local also means we have the specialty languages that MN needs that other national providers don’t have any or many of such as Karen, Hmong, Somali).

The use of VRI technology to support delivery of interpreting services is a promising new practice which we are proud to be offering. It can be a cost-effective alternative to on-site interpreters and a useful solution when geographic location makes having on site interpreters challenging.

We are creating local MN opportunities where others rely on national providers.  We are also supporting many health systems who have created their own platforms through Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business by providing labor to these health systems and scheduling like they normally have through us.

Pam Morreale, President of Intelligere

This is a commitment we have made to our interpreters we contract with locally said Pam Morreale, President of Intelligere. When the impact of the precautions being taken to combat the corona virus virtually eliminated our interpreting team’s ability to earn an income, we partnered with our local health systems to push all or some work to the local interpreters rather than send to a national system. We appreciate that our clients are so committed to the local interpreter community during this difficult time.  This is a great way Minnesota health care is supporting our local communities.
